Summer is here and with it the holydays, and I didn't want to waste this fantastic period to share with you 5 tips that will help you to make the most of these days and come back with your batteries a full.
Happy holidays

You are probably on holiday, or you will be on holiday soon. For most people, a moment is long-awaited. In this sense, I wish you a great holiday. In this sense, I give you SEVERAL IDEAS THAT I AM CONVINCED WILL HELP YOU GET THE MOST OUT OF THE VACATION PERIOD:

  1. REST. You’re probably tired. Most professionals arrive at this time of year with less energy. In most sectors, things are not easy, and many people must “pedal faster to maintain the same speed.” Therefore, resting and recharging your batteries is perhaps the most important objective for your vacation. As the American writer John Steinbeck, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1962, said, “The art of rest is a part of the art of working.”
  2. READ. I have always been a great defender of reading for its countless benefits. I wrote to you about it in the post “Read (a lot) more”, with some ideas to help you read more that you can put into practice this vacation. Also, a few weeks ago I presented my 50 favorite books celebrating my 50th anniversary. I have attached the link to part I and part II of the list. Take advantage of the holidays to enjoy reading again.
  3. DISCONNECT. I wrote about the fear of missing out and being absent, and in contrast, the need and how beneficial it is to disconnect and be selective to be happy in my recent post “Learn to disconnect: from FOMO to JOMO”. I am fully convinced that disconnecting will help you a lot. And there is no better time to start learning to disconnect than on vacation. So, disconnect a little to connect more strongly when you return from your holidays.
  4. ENJOY. People need enjoyment. Take advantage of the holidays to do some things that you enjoy. Practice the sport you like, invest time in your hobbies, spend quality time with your friends and loved ones., travel, visit other places, enjoy foods you like or discover new experiences. Because as the well-known novelist, Marthe Trolley-Curtin says, “The time you spend enjoying is not wasted time.”
  5. REFLECT. Most professionals are very busy. Work, family, travel… They execute a lot and generally don’t think too much. They have little time to reflect on their life, and their career. You can take advantage of the holiday break to think about yourself and your future. Are you in the situation you want to be in? What would you like to improve in your personal or professional life? What changes do you want to promote after the holidays? Are you clear about your purpose? The holidays are the best time of the year to think about it. Because as Pablo Picasso said, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”

Well, you have 5 ideas to take advantage of your vacation. I wish you a happy summer. See you around.

Happy Holidays!
