In today's post I talk about three qualities that do not appear on CVs and are not learned in universities, but can improve the way you work, socialize and live, do not miss it.
Three qualities that make a difference

In a world that often overvalues talent and intelligence, THERE ARE THREE QUALITIES THAT CAN MAKE A RADICAL DIFFERENCE IN YOUR RESULTS. They don’t appear on resumes or are taught in universities, but they have the power to transform the way you work, relate to others, and live.

These qualities don’t depend on your IQ, your experience, or your degrees. They depend on your attitude. And best of all: THEY’RE WITHIN EVERYONE’S REACH.

1 BE CHEERFUL. Happiness is contagious. Happy people elevate the energy of the environment, make teams work better, and allow challenges to be faced with more optimism. Being cheerful doesn’t mean always being happy, but rather having a positive, open, and friendly disposition. It means choosing, every day, to add instead of subtract. As the American writer William James said:

“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” Being cheerful is a choice. And that choice can change everything.

2 BE RESPONSIBLE.  Personal responsibility is one of the most powerful qualities you can develop. It means accepting that what you want to achieve depends on you. Don’t expect others to do it for you. Don’t blame others or circumstances. Take charge. Responsible people don’t hide. They commit. They get involved. And that makes them role models, leaders, agents of change. As Stephen Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, said:

“Personal responsibility is the foundation of all lasting success.” When you take responsibility, you improve. And when you improve, you move forward.

3 BE ADAPTABLE. The world changes. Constantly. And those who cling to the familiar, the comfortable, the predictable… suffer. On the other hand, adaptable people find alternative paths, reinvent themselves, learn, and evolve. Adaptability is not a weakness. It’s emotional intelligence. It’s resilience. It’s vision. As Charles Darwin said, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most adaptable to change.

Being adaptable means accepting that you don’t control everything, but you can control how you respond.

These three qualities—JOY, RESPONSIBILITY, AND ADAPTABILITY—don’t require talent, but they do require willpower. They don’t guarantee success, but they make it much more likely. And above all, they make you someone it’s a pleasure to work with, live with, and spend time with.

And you? Which of these three qualities would you like to cultivate more from today?
